This was at a reception hall considered to be one of the high class halls in the area. The comments said in this video are my own personal thoughts, and how I look at this hall from the DJ’s POV. Keep in mind, the hall, photographer & B&G all have my wedding guide sheets, and I’ve been doing this for over 10yrs, and this is the first time I’ve ran into any type of problems with the photographer or hall management. – The hall called me One & a half hours prior to the start time of 4pm because I wasn’t setup yet. Which is the first time in the history of my DJing that I’ve ever been called by a hall. And I called them the day before and went over all the details I had, which shows they didn’t pay attention to anything I said. – The B&G wanted to have a Money Dance with Shots. Since the hall manager didn’t know anything about it she told me, no. Which I explained I would tell the bride to talk to you once they arrived regarding that. Then she changed her tone. – This was a sit down meal that the wait staff messed up the head tables main course. – I ask that the hall have a 4-8ft “UN-covered” table ready for the DJ, because we bring our own skirting. And the table was fitted with their own skirting, which wasted time, while I took it off. – The hall had times for everything to happen, I did not follow their schedule, I followed mine that I went over with the B&G the day before. The only thing I need to know is when Dinner is set for I explained to the hall manager. – And to

    Ok… Let me answer your 2 questions…
The songs for the introductions were Galvanize, and Prince.

The lights that flooded the dance floor are the new Irradiant Mini-Move LED Wash Moving Head fixtures, and the sparkles were made from the Sunray Tri LED Mirror Ball.

  6. djboentertainment says:

Yeah that was a creative concept that the Bride wanted to do, so I edited the song to fit the introduction.

  7. YeshuaRising says:

Hey DJ Bo I like the Prince! Never thought of that one!

  8. djboentertainment says:

heck yeah! That’s the best mix of stuff ever! Although I have altered it slightly, but for the most part, people still love that stuff. : )

  9. ericwenning says:

I hear your still using the music I gave you… lol

  10. DJRockinRob says:

2 questions … 1.) what was the song playing for the introductions? 2.) what flooded the dance floor with blue and then you had red sparkle accents?

Hope that the short commings of the venue dont reflect poorly on you. i mean concidering that if the “A/C” doesnt work its the DJs fualt! That freakin DJ… we paid him (some miniscule amount) at least he copuld do is fix the A/C! :) )))))

  13. djboentertainment says:

HAHA! for real! You’re right! No matter how good a DJ is, the people that want to leave or have other plans are gonna leave, and the ones that want to say will. Thank you for watching!

  14. djboentertainment says:

    Thank you!

I remember when I first started doing weddings, the introduction, & announcements were the things I always got nervous. I didn’t want to say their names wrong, or stutter, etc. But, after about 100 weddings, that goes away really fast, and it becomes second nature. Now it’s one of those things that I get compliments about. Always try to take every negative and make it a positive, that’s the way I look at it. Thank you for watching, and commenting.

  18. BOBBYBLENDZ says:

Very nice! I like how you worked your announcements. being new to weddings, this is always the part that makes me cringe. I guess I will get over it in time.

    Thanks for the post.

  21. djbigron says:

great gig. I love my t rex’s. the mother of the bride thing. It amazes me how people we dont know what we are talking about or what we are doing!

  22. jasperibe says:

It sounds like even if you have a presidential declaration of the order of events, this particular mother-of-the-bride would still have it done HER way. It wasn’t a total loss, the people that wanted to stay/dance/celebrate stayed…and for the others…whatever…their loss.

  23. JFLORES980 says:

Thats funny instead of bride zilla its bride zilla mom heheh. Yeah those can be rough. I hate when people say stuff like that im paying you right. For that they should just get their own DJ Equipment and do the party them selves. I mean who is the Professional Dj and has done weddings before. But what can you do. Just go with the punches no need to kill your Rep

  24. djboentertainment says:

Ok, I maybe should’ve showed the mother of the bride the sheet. But, I’m sure that she would’ve said, to bad… “cause I’m paying you”. haha It was just one of those kind of nights. But in the end, everyone was happy, dancing, and having a great time. Thanks for commenting!

  25. d2tminc says:

Yes it’s the same in my area SF also but if you have that official looking paper with the bold heading The Order Of Events its kind of like a contract that you made between you and the bride and groom that you have handy to use as an buffer between those back seat wedding planners such as Mom sister or aunt.I just point to or hand them that little piece of paper and it has saved me many times from any emotional /panic stricken conversations on the order of events..
